Page 52: He Would Surely Find Me

I love what our Mr. Gomes does with these flashback pages. The compositions tend toward the exquisite. I only just now noticed the rhythm between the raised fist in the first panel and the raised vial in the second. The final image – serene and ghostly – was a favorite of both Jeremy’s and mine throughout the process.
As a character, Mircalla was another who came to life with little effort on my part, despite the fact that she only appears for a handful of pages. I think there might be a little Maude Lebowski in there.

I love the series and don’t wish to nit-pick, but shouldn’t that be “pry” in the first panel, not “ply”?
Scott! Were this the Grand Ol’ Days of Marvel and I Stan Lee, then you would surely receive the legendary No Prize! Well-spotted, sir. I’ll do my best to dig into the page files and fix that this weekend. A little surprised that you didn’t spot the OTHER spelling faux pas, although your message led me to discover it…. The title “He Would Surely Find Me” was originally up there as “He Would Surely Fine Me”. Whole ‘nother meaning altogether, True Believer!
